Warm Cheesy Crab, Shrimp or Chicken Dip
Warm Garlic Chicken, Shrimp or Crab Dip
Blend 8 oz softened cream cheese, ½ cup mayonnaise, ½ -1 package of Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix 1 cup shredded cheese until well mixed. Place mixture into an oven safe 16 oz baking dish and bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 20 minutes or microwave until bubbly hot. Optional– Add 1 cup cooked shredded chicken, lump crabmeat or one 6-ounce can crabmeat, drained, flaked, and cartilage removed.
Enjoy with chips, sliced baguettes, nachos or vegetables.

Glorious Garlic Burgers
GOURMET BURGERS: In a bowl, sprinkle Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix to taste over hamburger meat and mix well. Cover bowl and place in a refrigerator for at least two hours. Form into patties and cook.
(Optional: Flatten two patties, put cheese in middle and seal sides)
Backyard BBQ Seasoned Crackers
2 sleeves Saltine crackers
½ cup vegetable or olive oil
⅓ package Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix, Peppercorn Ranch, Mango Chipotle or Sneaky Dill Seasonings Mix
Mix oil and seasoning. Add crackers and coat.
Let the crackers rest in the oil mixture for at least an hour before baking.
Preheat oven to 250F. Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway. Serve after cooling.
Cheesy Potatoes, Church Potatoes or Hash Brown Casserole
Backyard BBQ Chex Mix
Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix CHEX MIX: In small bowl, stir together 1 stick melted butter, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 package Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix
In large microwavable bowl, mix 1 cup peanuts, 1 cup pretzel, 1 cup rye chips, 3 cups Rice Chex, 3 cups Wheat Chex, 3 cups Corn Chex.
Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered on High about 5 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes, until mixture begins to brown.
Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool.
Store in airtight container.
Buffalo Wing Ranch also makes amazing seasoned Pretzels.
Oven Baked Backyard BBQ Shrimp
I can thank my good friend Dan for this terrific new recipe!
Oven Baked Shrimp
1 pound medium Shrimp cleaned. Tails pulled if you like.
2 Tablespoons Olive oil
1 Tablespoons Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix, Sneaky DIll, Glorious Garlic, Pesto Parmesan Mix or your favorite Starla’s Seasoning Mix
2 Tablespoons butter halved
Feed 3-4 people. You can add more of the Starla’s Seasonings mix if you like a stronger taste. I found the one tablespoon plenty.
Mix Olive oil and seasoning and pour over shrimp in one gallon ziplock bag. Allow shrimp to rest, toss a few times over one hour. At the end of one hour preheat oven to 350 degrees. On a cookie sheet with sides pour shrimp mixture, make sure it is a single layer. Place cookie sheet with shrimp mixture into oven for 8 minutes. At the end of 8 minutes place butter into shrimp mixture and toss to coat shrimp with butter, then plate shrimp.
Add a bottle of Strongbow gold apple or a nice glass of Cedarburg’s Riesling and enjoy.
Backyard BBQ Smoked Salmon Dip
1/4 pound (4 ounces) smoked salmon, minced
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Westby sour cream
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 tablespoon Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix, Glorious Garlic, Sneak Dill, Twisted Tomato, Mustard Horseradish, or Grandma’s Garden Seasoning Mix
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Cream the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the sour cream, lemon juice, Seasoning Mix, salt and pepper to taste.
Add the smoked salmon and mix well. Chill and serve with crackers or as a sandwich spread.
Backyard BBQ Seasoned Venison Sliders
Seasoned Venison Beer Sliders
1/2 lbs. ground pork or beef
1/2 lbs. ground venison
3 tbs. brown sugar
1/2 package of Starla’s Seasoning Mix*
3/4 cup of beer
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine ground venison and pork. Add 1/2 +/- package Starla’s Seasoning Mix, 1/4 cup of beer, brown sugar, salt and pepper to taste. With your hands, mix all
ingredients until well blended. Spray a big baking dish with non-stick spray. Form meat into 8-9 slider sized
patties. Lay patties in one layer into the baking dish. Optional, Sprinkle kosher salt over patties. Bake in a 400 degree F oven for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, baste patties with 1/2 cup of beer. Continue to bake for 10-15 minutes, or until patties are cooked through. Take baking dish out of the oven, top patties with cheese and cover with aluminum foil. After about 5 minutes, the cheese should be melted. Top with bacon.
*Excellent with Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix, Glorious Garlic, Peppercorn Ranch, Buffalo Wing Ranch, Habanero, Mustard Horseradish, Twisted Tomato, Grandma’s Garden, or Pizza!
Backyard BBQ Grandma's Chicken and Rice
1 packet Grandma’s Garden Seasoning, Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix, Sneaky Dill, Peppercorn Ranch or Glorious Garlic Seasoning
1½ cups uncooked long rice
4 chicken breasts
1 can cream of chicken soup or cream of mushroom soup
2 cups water
1/2 cup chopped onions
Grease 16”x11” baking dish. Cover bottom of baking dish with uncooked rice and onions. Place chicken on top of rice. Pour soup and
water over chicken. Sprinkle Sneaky Dill, Grandma’s Garden or Glorious Garlic Seasoning generously over chicken.
Cover baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake at 375° for 1½ hours.
DO NOT OPEN the foil, or the rice will burn.
Grandma Carol's Cheesy Mashed Potatoes
1/2 packet Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix, Peppercorn Ranch or Glorious Garlic Mix
8 cups prepared mashed potatoes
3 Tbls. butter, softened
1 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
3 Tbls. of Diced Onion (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease bottom of 9×9-inch glass casserole dish. Use 8 cups of real mashed potatoes. Add Glorious Garlic Mix, butter, sour cream and 1-1/2 cups cheese, and onion. Mix well. Spread mixture into greased casserole dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese over top and bake until bubbly and brown for approximately 20 minutes.
Seasoned Grilled Zucchini
2 medium zucchini, about 8 oz each, sliced 1/4 inch thick
1 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
2-3 Tablespoons of your favorite Starla’s Seasoning Mix – Sneaky Dill Seasoning, Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix, Peppercorn Ranch, Mustard Horseradish, Twisted Tomato, Grandma’s Garden, Mango Chipotle...
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Backyard BBQ Seasoned Pretzels
SEASONED PRETZELS/CRACKERS: In a large Zipper bag mix 3/4 cup oil and 1 package Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix
Add 1 pound of pretzels or crackers and mix until completely coated.
Pour them onto cookie sheets.
Bake at 250° for 10-15 minutes, stir occasionally.
Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
Sneaky Dill Beer Battered Fish
Refrigerate for 2 hours. Wet fillets and cover well with flour. Dip into batter until covered. Fan into oil, so fillets do not stick.
Fry the fish until golden brown, and they flake easily with a fork.
Use Batter for onion rings, chicken strips, pork tenderloin medallions and more
Backyard BBQ Seasoned Sweet Potato Chips
Seasoned Sweet Potato Chips:
Large Sweet Potato – washed and scrubbed
Fine sea salt, as desired
Starla’s Backyard BBQ Seasoning. -Sweet Flavors are great too!
-Using a mandolin, slice the potato into very thin slices, with or without the peel.
-Preheat oven to 400F
-Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
-Arrange the potato slices in a single layer on the parchment lined baking sheet
-Sprinkle the tops with sea salt, along with seasonings
-Bake in the center of the oven for 10 minutes.
-After 10 minutes, the edges will begin start to crisp and curl up. -Flip each chip over, and return to the oven for another 2-3 minutes, or until desired crispness is reached. *You must continually watch them after you turn them over because they can go from crisp to charred in a matter of minutes.
If using a dehydrator
Arrange the slices into a single layer on the mesh trays, and dry at 155F (High) for approximately 2-3 hours, or until desired crispness is reached.
Backyard BBQ Seasoned Pinwheels
1/2 packet of your choice seasoning (Backyard BBQ, Garden, Sneaky Dill, BLT, Glorious Garlic, Parmesan Pesto, Cheesy Bacon Ranch…)
1 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup real mayonnaise
1 package tortilla shells
Shredded cheese
Meat (ham, turkey, corned beef, pastrami, etc.)
Black olives, diced (optional)
Onion, diced (optional)
Mix together cream cheese, mayonnaise and Dip Mix.
Spread mixture onto tortilla shells. Cover with your choice of meat topping, shredded cheese, onions and black olives and roll. Refrigerate until firmly set, overnight is best. Slice into pinwheels. Serve.

Backyard BBQ Hummus
Hummus
WISCONSIN STATE FAIR #1 & #2 Place Grand Champion of Very Vegan
1 can (15oz) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed or 1
1/2 cups cooked
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2-4 tablespoons water (+ 2 tablespoons as needed)
1/2 package of Twisted Tomato Seasoning Mix, Backyard BBQ, Glorious Garlic, Mustard Horseradish, Grandma’s Garden, Peppercorn Ranch, Pesto Parmesan or Sneaky Dill Seasoning.
Juice of 1 or 2 lemons, to taste
Himalayan salt to taste
Optional: 1 tablespoon roasted pine nuts,
DIRECTIONS:
Place all ingredients in food processor and blend until desired consistency.
Taste for flavor adding any additional amounts to reach desired flavor strength.
Add additional water for slightly thinner consistency.
Store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to one week.

Backyard BBQ Crab Rangoon
1 (8 ounce) package softened cream cheese
4 ounces lump crab meat or imitation crab meat
1 tsp of Starla’s Backyard BBQ, Mango Chipotle, Glorious Garlic, Peppercorn Ranch or any of your other favorites.
2 tablespoons chopped scallions
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
nonstick cooking spray
24 wonton wrappers
Directions
Combine cream cheese, crab meat, Starla’s Seasonings, Dips & Mixes, scallions, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl; stir until evenly combined. Set filling aside.
Preheat an air fryer to 350 degrees F. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
Fill a small bowl with warm water.
Place 12 wonton wrappers on a clean work surface. Spoon 1 teaspoon filling into the center of each wonton wrapper. Dip your finger into the bowl of warm water and wet around the sides of each wonton wrapper. Crimp wrapper corners upwards to meet in the center to form rangoons.
Place rangoons in the greased basket and mist the tops with cooking spray.
Cook the rangoons in the preheated air fryer until desired crispness is reached, about 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
While the first batch is cooking, assemble the next batch with remaining wonton wrappers and filling.
Serve crab rangoons with your favorite Starla’s Seasonings, Dips & Mixes dip mix for dipping

Backyard BBQ Mini Veggie Pizza Tarts
For the Tarts
1 Package Crescent Rolls or Crescent Roll Sheet
For the Filling
4 Ounces Cream Cheese, softened
1 1/2 Tablespoons Light Mayonnaise
1 1/2 Tablespoons Sour Cream
1 package of Starla’s Grandma’s Garden or Backyard BBQ Seasoning Mix
1 Tablespoon Fresh Dill, Chopped
1 Clove Garlic, minced or 1/3 tsp of Starla’s Glorious Garlic Mix
1/2 teaspoon Vinegar
1/2 teaspoon Sugar
For the Toppings
1/2 Cup Red and Orange Peppers, sliced and chopped
1 Head, not bunch Broccoli, Chopped fine
1/3 Cup Cucumber, diced (peeled if desired)
1/3 Cup Grape Tomatoes, chopped
1/3 Cup Wisconsin Colby Jack Cheese, finely shredded
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease a mini muffin tin with non-stick spray. Roll the crescent roll dough out on a counter, pressing together any seams. Cut 16-24 circles out of the dough and shape into the mini muffin holes. Lightly prick the bottom and 2 of the sides with a fork and bake for 6-8 minutes, or until golden. Remove to a cooling rack and using your fingers, quickly press down in the centers a little to create more of a tart for filling.
For the Filling
In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, mayo and sour cream. Add all remaining ingredients and beat until combined. Fill each tart with filling and top with desired veggies and a sprinkle of cheese.
Wrap well on a platter with saran wrap and refrigerate until serving or serve immediately.
The filling and tarts can be made and stored in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 days in advance and assembled before serving.
Makes 16-24 tarts
